Hospitals are among the most regulated industries in Mississippi and every day new proposals (legislation, reforms) are introduced impacting health care. The Mississippi Hospital Association provides member hospitals and health systems with representation and advocacy in the legislative and regulatory arenas. MHA advocates to maintain and improve access to quality, cost-effective health care for all Mississippians.
Whether policy is being shaped at the state or federal level, the power and impact of our collective voices strengthen MHA's effectiveness. MHA's advocacy team works collaboratively to maintain a unified statewide network for legislative action, educating and advocating on behalf of hospitals. On the federal level, MHA collaborates on policies and strategies for health care issues with the American Hospital Association (AHA) and other national health care organizations.
MHA provides input on developing federal legislation and regulatory proposals and helps shape national positions on important health care issues. MHA's state and federal advocacy program is supported by the grassroots efforts of our member hospitals and their employees.
Together, we can make a difference!
