* Volunteers in Preparedness Registry - A database maintained by the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) that contains contact and credential information on health care professionals who have registered in advance to be volunteers in case of a disaster. MSDH will need contact information including two telephone numbers and or an email address which absolutely can be relied upon for emergency alert and message delivery; professional license number; specialty certification (if any); and where, when, and for what duration you are willing to serve during times of disaster. You can register for VIPR at http://volunteer.msdh.state.ms.us. For additional information on VIPR and volunteerism, contact the Mississippi State Department of Health, Office of Emergency Planning and Response, at (601) 576-7680 or 1-866-458-4948.
* Mississippi Emergency Management Agency - Will post a list of all shelters along evacuation routes.
