Tackling the Mental Health Crisis in Mississippi EDs

One in eight visits to the emergency department (ED) is related to a mental health or substance abuse issue, yet the hospital ED is not designed to address ongoing behavioral health issues. This free workshop will address the current resources available to EDs from community mental health centers (CMHCs). We will also show how new tools and technology can help improve collaboration and coordination between emergency and behavioral health providers.
