WEBINAR: Mindfulness: A Practice for Personal Effectiveness

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The concept of mindfulness is best understood through practice. Foundational information for developing a mindfulness practice will be the focus of this webinar. Participants will learn the benefits of mindfulness, three practical ways to develop their ability to be present and the connection between mindfulness, personal transitions and emotional intelligence.

  • Define four constructs that support the definition of mindfulness.
  • Articulate three benefits to developing a mindfulness practice as supported by research.
  • Apply four practices for being comfortable and present in a mindful state.
  • Relate mindfulness to personal transition and emotional intelligence.

SPEAKER BIOGRAPHIES

Steve Manderscheid PhD, has 25 years of experience and a diverse background working with leadership development initiatives in large and small national and international organizations. He also facilitates strategic planning and leadership development workshops across industries, including several nonprofit organizations. Dr. Manderscheid’s research is focused on leadership development and strategic management. He is a 2019 Fulbright Scholar in Innovation and Organization Change and the chair of the graduate human resource management program in the college of business and technology at Concordia University. Dr. Manderscheid has published and co-published 14 peer-reviewed journal articles, one book and two book chapters.
