Many plan sponsors, stewards, and investment committee members are unaware of their fiduciary duties and responsibilities. With increasing regulatory pressure to implement fiduciary standards of care, learn how to improve your fiduciary decision making process while minimizing liability.

This workshop is offered free of charge and will include all training materials. Participants will receive a Certificate of Fiduciary Training. Speakers

Scott Reed

Scott Reed is the CEO of Hardy Reed, LLC, a nationally recognized investment firm specializing in fiduciary management. He is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA®), Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®), CEFEX analyst and is a Professional Plan Consultant™ (PPC™). 

Scott has been a board member of the North Mississippi Medical Center for more than a decade and spent 4 years on the MHA board as an independent board member. Scott speaks regularly at national conferences on fiduciary management and business ethics. He has been a regular guest lecturer at the Vanderbilt University Owen School of Management on business ethics. Scott’s syndicated financial advice column has been in newspapers for over a quarter of a century.

Ken Parkinson

Ken Parkinson leads Hardy Reed’s Retirement Plan Services Division. Ken is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA®), Professional Plan Consultant™ (PPC™), Certified Fund Specialist® (CFS®), and a CEFEX analyst.

Over the past 25 years Ken has worked with dozens of organizations that sponsor retirement plans to help them create an ideal retirement plan environment for their employees. This experience, combined with highly regarded investment and ERISA fiduciary training, have enabled Ken to help plan sponsors objectively evaluate and improve their retirement plan governance processes, negotiate more effective plan services with more reasonable terms, reduce plan sponsor fiduciary liabilities, while helping participants improve their retirement income probabilities. The independent Hardy Reed retirement plan consulting process helps plan sponsors and participants have more successful retirement plan outcomes.

Ken serves as Chief Operating Officer of Hardy Reed. Ken is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA®), Professional Plan Consultant™ (PPC™) and a CEFEX analyst.In addition, he works with retirement plan and nonprofit clients. He brings over 25 years of executive-level financial services experience and institutional experience to the firm. 

Ken has written numerous whitepapers on fiduciary best practices for institutional organizations. In addition, he has been a speaker at national conferences on fiduciary best practices, fiduciary assessments and CEFEX Certification. Ken has completed the Pension and Investment Management Program at Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
