  • Describe the roles and responsibilities of a preceptor.
  • Demonstrate best practices in communication skills with a preceptee, staff and patients to include assigned clinical faculty OR SON program coordinator.
  • Develop and implement a learning plan with a preceptee based on his or her needs and goals.
  • Demonstrate understanding of critical thinking skills as supported by current protocols, evidence-based research and best practices.
  • Provide constructive feedback and evaluation to the preceptee – *note – the preceptor needs to provide feedback and evaluation to clinical faculty OR SON program coordinator.
