Recent national surveys show that employees are quitting their jobs or considering doing so in record numbers. The reasons for this "Great Resignation" are many, including economic, organizational and psychological factors. Having a clear understanding of these reasons will enable organizations to better retain top talent during increased competition. In this engaging session, participants will learn the reasons why employees, particularly high performers, leave their jobs and what organizations can do to better retain them.

Stephen Courtright
is the research professor of management and director of executive education in the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa. His award-winning research on organizational leadership, teamwork and employee engagement has been published in top research journals and featured in The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, National Public Radio and Forbes. He is the recipient of several teaching awards and teaches classes about leadership and change management in Tippie's MBA and undergraduate programs. He also has provided executive education and consulting for clients such as the Veterans Health Administration, John Deere, Caterpillar, HNI and Halliburton.
