Offered Through Partnership with Healthcare Experience Foundation
The Joint Commission, CMS, and other accrediting boards are increasingly focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). The first step in achieving organizational equity goals, however, is often staff education. The Mississippi Hospital Association has partnered with the Healthcare Experience Foundation to offer a two-day virtual DEI Certificate Program to help in these efforts. This course is designed to introduce integral DEI concepts, like implicit bias and cultural humility, to frontline workers and executive staff alike.
On Dec. 7 and 8, we will offer two half-day sessions from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Small group participation, surveys, and other interactive tools are embedded in the format. These virtual sessions will offer CME, CNE, and Patient Experience Continuing Education Credit (PXE).
Each of the six sessions also offers an industry professional take, in addition to instruction by a subject matter expert, and members that participate will attend free of charge.
