The Mississippi Hospital Association (MHA) recently named Jeremy Tinnerello, Jackson Market President for St. Dominic Health, to the MHA Board of Governors. He will serve as the board representative for the Central Judicial District. The primary function of the MHA Board of Governors is to make policy decisions and to provide fiduciary oversight for the trade association.
Jeremy Tinnerello joined St. Dominic's in November 2023, leading the teams at St. Dominic Hospital, including an extensive network of ambulatory clinics and the St. Catherine’s Village lifecare community. Jeremy is an authentic and committed leader with more than 30 years of progressive health care leadership experience in Mississippi and Northeast Louisiana.
Jeremy began his career at Glenwood in 1992 as an orderly and later became an emergency room charge nurse, where he developed a deep appreciation for compassionate patient care and clinical excellence. He went on to serve in various leadership roles, including chief operating officer, chief nursing officer, and as president and chief executive officer, during which he led the organization through significant financial challenges and multiple growth and expansion projects in both acute and ambulatory care. Under his leadership, several innovative quality improvement programs were implemented, earning national recognition.
Since joining St. Dominic Health, Jeremy has led efforts to expand access to care and improve operational efficiency. Notably, he oversaw the development of a real-time bed-availability prediction tool that enabled the transfer center to proactively manage patient flow. This initiative resulted in a 36% improvement in transfer acceptance rates and enabled the hospital to care for more than 3,000 additional patients annually—all without adding staff.
Jeremy is also deeply committed to strengthening the health and well-being of the Jackson community and the surrounding region through strategic outreach and partnerships, including support for initiatives such as the Sister Trinita Community Clinic, the St. Vincent de Paul Community Pharmacy, community health impact collaborations, and expanded access to care for underserved populations.
Jeremy earned his first degree in Nursing from Louisiana Tech University, where he was later selected as a Distinguished Alumni in 2020. He also holds both a Master of Science in Nursing and a Master of Health Administration. Jeremy has remained actively involved in the community, serving on numerous boards throughout his career, including the Louisiana Hospital Association, Northeast Louisiana Cancer Institute, Louisiana Tech National Alumni Board, and both the West Monroe and Monroe Chambers of Commerce.
