In theory, the supply chain is the repository for a treasure trove of data on products, including price, use and outcomes. Supply chain represents 30 percent of hospital operations, ranking second only to labor in cost, However, the pandemic quickly unearthed detrimental fissures in the global supply chain. An overreliance on just-in-time (JIT) procurement strategies and a lack of industry-wide data sharing left many healthcare providers in the dark, unable to predict critical supply shortages or find alternative solutions.
In this session we will review recent regulatory updates, resources available to make sure that you are better prepared and more informed, and finally, several lessons that will support  the resiliency, efficiency and sustainability of your supply chain, including:

Maintaining flexibility and cross functional collaboration.
Understanding and utilizing Total Cost of Ownership in your sourcing strategy.
Applying principles of alternative suppliers, strategic inventory and reuse/recycling options in your plans.
